Lancaster care home turns pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
It was pretty in pink at this city care home...
Ashton Manor Care Home in Lancaster marked Breast Cancer Awareness Month with an afternoon of live music, singing and pink cupcakes to raise awareness and funds for a breast cancer charity.

Resident Margaret, a talented pianist whose performances are always popular at Ashton Manor, was among the stars of the afternoon, treating fellow residents and colleagues to live piano music.
The music continued in the tearooms, where Cornerstone led a lively singalong, with residents joining in to familiar favourites.
Residents and colleagues also helped raise funds for the charity through the sale of pink cupcakes.

The event was an opportunity for residents and colleagues to support a cause close to many people's hearts, helping to raise awareness of breast cancer and funds for those affected by the disease.
Margaret's performance was a particular highlight, with her fellow residents enjoying the chance to hear her play before taking part in the afternoon's singing.
Ashton Manor Care Home regularly organises events and activities that encourage residents to share their talents, pursue their interests and enjoy an active social life.
