After spending months designing and organising the event themselves, the Unique Kidz & Co event will take place on Saturday June 20 from 1pm to 4pm at their premises on Woodhill Lane, Morecambe.

Unique Gigz Festival 2026 will bring together live music, entertainment and family fun in an inclusive environment designed with accessibility at its heart.

The festival has been created by members of the 4Ever Unique Young Adult Council who have been involved in planning every aspect of the event, from choosing performers and activities to creating decorations and helping shape the overall experience for guests.

The line-up includes a selection of local performers and groups including My Theatre, Mark McKenna, Ruby Currah, Steve Middlesborough and It's Dance Design Academy, alongside games, food and drink, glitter tattoos and other family-friendly activities.

The event reflects Unique Kidz & Co's commitment to creating opportunities for young adults with disabilities to develop confidence, independence and leadership skills, while making a positive contribution to their local community.

"The Young Adult Council have worked incredibly hard to bring their ideas to life,” said project worker Mo Winrow.

“They've chosen the entertainment, discussed activities, helped promote the event and created many of the decorations themselves. It's been fantastic to see their confidence grow as they've taken ownership of the festival."

Louise O'Brien, senior support worker, said: "Unique Gigz is a wonderful example of what can happen when young adults are given the opportunity to lead.

“They've shown creativity, teamwork and determination throughout the planning process, and now they're looking forward to sharing the event with the wider community."

Members of the Young Adult Council added: "We're having fun making everything from bunting to a banner. Please buy tickets now and come and have a dance with us."
