Paul Akister’s steamy performance gets him through to week four of the X Factor

Paul’s steamy performance of Try a Little Tenderness saw him survive another week of the public vote at the weekend.

His mentor, former Scary Spice Mel B, has faced criticism from fans on Twitter this week after dexcribing Paul as her “little white Jay-Z”.

Simon Cowell said it was Paul’s best performance yet. Louis Walsh agreed and said Paul “brought the soul and swag” to his performance.

Cheryl, the judge who was obsessed with stage presence for most of the night, said Paul’s performance was “the most sexy performance you have done to date”.

The Lancaster singing sensation is currently 14/1 sixth favourite with Ladbrokes to win the series. The overall winner is all but guaranteed the Christmas number one single.

Next week’s X Factor will be a Fright Night theme in keeping with Halloween on Friday.
