Outstanding success for gift shop boss

Country Harvest's gift and clothing manager Rebecca Hooper was presented with an '˜outstanding achievement' certificate at an Apprenticeship Awards event at Kendal College.

Rebecca, who has worked at Country Harvest near Ingleton for seven years, successfully completed her NVQ in visual merchandising at the college. More than 80 people attended the awards evening this month with Rebecca picking up an outstanding professional and personal achievement award in retail and hospitality.

Rebecca’s tutor Vicky Dixon said: “Rebecca has excelled at this qualification.

“This was a new area for her and she has grown in confidence.

“She has also grown into her role and she has improved working relations in her team and can now successfully relate to colleagues on all levels.

“She has become super organised and as a result her sales figures have increased dramatically.”

Country Harvest is a combined gift shop, food hall and coffee shop on the A65 near Ingleton.
