Harley Goldstone, who weighed 11lb 15oz at birth, celebrated his first birthday at the weekend and is still bigger than an average one-year-old.

Already fitting into two-year-old clothes Harley enjoyed a birthday party with his family at his home on Mears Beck Close on Sunday, complete with toys and a Micky Mouse Cake.

At the time mum Danielle Davies spoke of her shock after giving birth to Harley without any pain relief and whilst she suffered a blood clot on the brain.

Danielle’s health has improved and Harley is catching up with his sister Layla who is nearly three-years-old.

The 22-year-old mum-of-two said: “Harley has grown so fast, he is already in 18-24 month size clothes and has the same size nappies as his sister, although she is potty trained now. I always wanted three children but after Harley I am worried about the size, the next one might be two-stone! But we are happy at the moment.”

Danielle is still on medication but is thankful for the support from her family and partner Daniel Goldstone. The family were not expecting the media attention after Harley’s arrival, especially that of controversial TV star Katie Hopkins.

Danielle said: “After we were interviewed by yourselves we were approached by Katie Hopkins’s show on Facebook, we thought it was a hoax until they offered to pay for our travel and accommodation to London. She is not like she is on TV, she was really nice. Harley is a miracle, I used to go to sleep scared, wondering if my baby would be safe during delivery, look at him now! The midwifes and doctors were fantastic.” Danielle is now looking forward to her wedding on July 16 at St John The Divine Sandylands Church.
