NHS staff stage four hour strike over pay
Thousands of NHS workers are taking part in a four-hour strike today as part of a pay dispute.
Nurses, midwives and ambulance staff will be joining the walkout along with Unison members.
The strike is protesting the coalition’s decision not to accept a recommended one per cent wage rise for all NHS employees.
Approximately more than 400,000 workers have joined the strike, which will be followed by a work to rule for the rest of the week.
