RNLI boat visits Glasson Dock
The crew of Fleetwood all-weather R.N.L.I. boat is scheduled to visit Glasson Dock at lunchtime on Saturday, October 11.
She will moor on the West Quay and the crew will visit the Dalton Arms to be presented with £1354.04( being £900 by the village and £454.04 raised by The Smokehouse).
Lancaster MP Eric Ollerenshaw will attend and meet the crew.
Reggae concert rescheduled
Manchester based Nucleus Roots have rescheduled their concert at the Platform in Morecambe. The concert will now be held on February 28 2015 instead of October 11. Tickets cost £12 at www.lancaster.gov.uk/platform-tickets and from the Visitor Information Centres at the Platform Buildings in Morecambe and the Storey in Lancaster. Cat charity advises on pet care
Cats Protection is urging cat owners to be responsible by making sure their own pets are neutered, microchipped and treated for fleas. The Lancaster and Morecambe branch of the cat charity is getting more and more calls every day about homeless, stray and unwanted cats and kittens. The charity may be able to help towards the cost of neutering in certain circumstances. For more information call 01524 850112.
Information day for autistic charity
The Lancaster and Morecambe branch of the National Autistic Society is holding an information day at Lancaster Brewery on Sunday, October 19, from 11 until 3pm. Entry is free and there are activities for the children. There will be a visit from MP David Morris. The society is the leading UK charity for people with autism (including Asperger syndrome).
