New owner for cafe
The cafe at the end of Morecambe’s Stone Jetty will be reopened early next year under new ownership.
The cafe, which did a roaring trade in teas, coffees, drinks, snacks and ice creams has been closed for most of 2014.
Lancaster City Council said repointing and repainting work was currently being undertaken as part of the maintenance works on the Stone Jetty Café building and lighthouse.
Interior improvement are being undertaken in readiness for the café re-opening early 2015.
