Lindsay Stillwell, 46, and Victoria Bragg, 42, who were neighbours at a block of flats in Westminster Road, Morecambe, both admitted conspiring to supply Class B drugs after a stash of amphetamines were found at their respective flats during a police raid.

The court heard officers found amphetamines valued between £11,000 and £40,000 in Stillwell’s flat with a six per cent purity.

But Judge Simon Altham, sitting at Preston Crown Court, said: “The stash didn’t end there, because when your flat, Bragg, was searched that same day a further 264g, valued between £2,700 and £10,000, was found.

“The joint stack held between you was a considerable amount.

“In flat two the phone used to facilitate the conspiracy to supply these drugs was found.”

The defendants, sitting at opposite ends of the dock, glared at each other throughout the proceedings. Stillwell, who has two previous convictions for drugs supply, was jailed for 24 months but the judge suspended Bragg’s 19 month sentence for two years.

One woman sitting in the public gallery hurled expletives at the judge.

As security officers were called, the woman and an older woman left the court.
