Between 1998 and 2000 David also managed the Empire Arena Night Club, Hot Shots Sports Bar and an indoor crown green bowls centre.
In 2002 he founded the Uniform & Leisurewear Company, building the business so that over 20 years later it now has four high street shops, two websites, two production and dispatch units, and more than 40 staff, with customers spanning several family generations for their school, work and leisurewear.
David was diagnosed with MS in 2003 and despite having, as he described, ‘good days and bad days’, still lived life to the full.
