A cafe at the Arnside base for Bay Search and Rescue has won a prestigious award.

The Bob In cafe has been voted best cafe in Cumbria out of 200 businesses at the 2024 England’s Business Awards.

The Bob In cafe said on their Facebook page: “Thank you to you all! Our team work so hard! We wish all members were with us tonight!

"Well done team The Bob-In Cafe and thank you to all of you who visit, support and take this journey with us! You are amazing thank you!”

Bay Search and Rescue said on Facebook: “Most of our followers know that BSAR is based on both sides of the bay, our headquarters being at Flookburgh.

“However what we don’t have at Flookburgh and what do have at our Arnside base is an award winning cafe!

"Congratulations to the whole team at The Bob-In Cafe for winning this prestigious award out of over 200 competitors.

“Now when we return from incidents on the bay at Arnside we will be getting an award winning brew and an award winning cake or two."
