Morecambe Station Friends gift comes up with the goods

The Friends of Morecambe Station group has provided two raised planting beds to enhance and improve the facilities and environment at the platform.

Pictured are members of the Group including the Chairman of the Friends Group, Michael Moorhouse, a representative from Bay View Landscapes (one of the sponsors of this project) together with station manager, Joan Nickson unveiling the new planting beds. The two beds pictured have been made possible through the hard work of the current Friends (pictured) and generous sponsorship from Bay View Landscapes and the Leeds-Lancaster-Morecambe Community Rail Partnership together with funding from Morecambe Town Council.

The Group are planning further projects including a Christmas tree and artwork to enhance the shelters and ticket office.

If you would like to join the group, contact David Croxall, Clerk to Morecambe Town Council, tel: 01524 422929.
