In this week's Looking Back we take to the sea and look at the town's fisherman during the early 1890s and 1920s.

From cockerels to mussel catchers and to the women who potted the famous Morecambe Bay shrimps, it’s all here in these rare resort pictures. A sight rarely seen today is also captured in a 1920s picture - a fisherman in Morecambe Bay with a seal.

James Swain, who made his trade in mussel catching is also pictured, he is seen on many historic fishing photographs taken from Morecambe Bay – the date of this one is unknown.

Thank you to Andrew Reilly, of Morecambe Old and New Facebook group for sharing his pictures.
