Morecambe James Bond stunt night spectacular
Organisers at Reel Cinema, on Central Drive, are hoping to showcase the new Bond film, Spectre, in true 007 style.

Hide AdMorecambe’s own stuntman, Martin Shenton, who has worked for films like Les Misérables, will be on hand to deliver an intense array of stunts.
Martin, who owns Regent Park Studios, and his team are working with the cinema to help raise money for Lancaster St John’s Hospice.
Kerry Proud, Reel Cinema manager, hopes the £20,000 worth of stunts will be enough to attract attention.

Hide AdKerry said: “The Bond industry is massive and it has a huge following, we just want to raise as much as possible and we are hoping to make this the biggest event outside Leicester Square.”
Audiences can expect car explosions, falls from the roof and shooting scenes at the cinema on Monday October 26 from 7pm.
Martin, who will be getting knocked over in a stunt, said: “It is going to be live so there is quite a lot of technical stuff involved.

Hide Ad“We have to be fearful to get the adrenaline going, you need that sharpness about you.
“But I have been doing this for 20 years and you get used to it.”
A film crew will be on site from 7.30pm recording stunts which will form part of a trailer.

Hide AdCompetitions, a casino and a photo booth will also be part of the cinema’s Bond-themed fundraising.
Spectre will be shown at 8pm and 8.30pm following the stunt scene. Organisers are in talks with Lancashire County Council about a possible road closure on Central Drive.
