MARTHA, which stands for, Making African children Realise Their Hopes and Aspirations, is a not-for-profit organisation set up Mike and Mercy Statter. The couple want to carry on the work of Mercy’s late mother, Martha Okoro, to build a school for the children in Ekenobizi. It was always Martha’s dream to build a school for children, who through family hardship and poverty, would never get the opportunity to realise their hopes and dreams through and educational route.
