Morecambe care home open day

Anchor’s Eric Morecambe House on Harrow Grove will be participating in Care Home Open Day on Friday April 20 and Saturday April 21, along with thousands of care homes across the country.

Care Home Open Day is an annual event aimed at encouraging members of the public to see the high quality care in their local care homes.

This year the theme is linking communities and is a great opportunity for people to visit their local care homes, see what they do and ask them any questions they may have about care.

David Wood, community partnership manager, said: “We hold a host of activities throughout the year to keep residents mentally and physically stimulated.

“Many of the events involve bringing the outside community into the home. Care Home Open Day is part of this packed activities programme.

“We’re really proud of what we have achieved over the last year. We wanted to take this opportunity to celebrate the fantastic life our residents have here.

“It’s a great opportunity for communities or those thinking about care for a loved one to come down and ask us any questions they may have and see what life in a care home is really like.”
