Man rescued by hovercraft
Morecambe Coastguard were called out in the early hours of Thursday morning to rescue a man seen approaching the water.
When emergency services arrived they discovered a man sitting at the end of the stone jetty near The Midland hotel with a shopping trolley.
RNLI hovercraft took the man to shore where he was arrested by police shortly after 5am.
