Man has jaw fractured after assault in Lancaster

A pubgoer was assaulted by two men on a night out.

Police said the 22-year-old received a fractured jaw after being attacked by the two men.

The assault happened at 11.30pm on Wednesday, August 13, to the rear of the Priory, St Mary’s Parade, Lancaster.

It is believed that the victim had been in the Yates’s bar with friends, and soon after leaving was attacked by two men who punched him in the head three times.

The victim was taken to Lancaster hospital for treatment.

DC Tristan Hardwick of Lancaster CID said: “This was a serious assault in which the victim has suffered severe facial injuries.

“I am appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with knowledge of who the two men in CCTV images may be, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
