Major fire rips through north Lancaster farmhouse

A major fire tore through a farmhouse near Carnforth at the weekend.

Fire crews from Lancashire and Cumbria attended the blaze at Coldwell Farm in Yealand Redmayne on Sunday March 26 at around 12.47pm.

Firefighters from Cumbria, Silverdale, Fulwood, Lancaster and Morecambe attended the scene, and the fire was brought under control by early evening.

One fire engine remained at the farm in Coldwell Lane overnight.

Large parts of the building, including the roof, suffered serious damage, but there were no casualties.
