Lorry and car collision on M6

A woman was taken to hospital after a lorry and a car collided on the M6.

Emergency services attended to the crash on the M6 Southbound, J34, at around 9.12pm last night (Monday May 9).

The HGV Mercedes lorry and the red Mini collided on the south exit slipway.

A 54-year-old woman in the Mini was trapped and the vehicle’s roof was removed by emergency services to free her.

She was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary for minor injuries.

The junction was closed for two hours while both vehicles were removed.

An investigation is ongoing.
