Morecambe RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manager, Kevin Jackson said:”Although this incident was a false alarm, it was made with good intent and we would always rather respond and ensure that people are safe; than fail to do so and be sorry.”

The incident was at 12.56pm on Thursday, June 4.
