Holyhead Coastguard requested the Morecambe RNLI volunteer lifeboat crew to assist the jet skiers, who were reported to have run aground and were stranded on a sandbank south of Heysham harbour at around 12.15pm on Sunday.

The crew found the skiers near Ocean Edge Caravan Site.

Both were safe and well, and they were helped by the lifeboat crew in recovering the jet skis off the sandbank.
