Law firm in line for three awards

A leading law firm has been shortlisted for three awards at this year's Lancashire Business Awards.

Birchall Blackburn Law, which has offices in locations including Morecambe, Preston, Chorley and Leyland, has been nominated for the legal firm of the year award and employer of the year award, while partner Gill Graveson has been shortlisted for the female networker of the year award.

Hosted by Downtown Lancashire in Business, the awards recognise and reward the county’s top businesses.

Speaking about her nomination, partner Gill Graveson, said: “I’m thrilled to be shortlisted in the female networker of the year category. There’s plenty of networking opportunities in Lancashire and I really enjoy meeting people from the county’s business community, if you haven’t tried networking I’d certainly recommend it.”

Cathy Maccracken, partner at Birchall Blackburn Law, added: “We’re continuously working hard to develop our people and strengthen our expertise so it is really pleasing to be shortlisted alongside other successful Lancashire businesses.

“We’re delighted to be shortlisted for the legal firm of the year award again after scooping the title last year. Being nominated for any award is a great achievement for the team at Birchall Blackburn Law, but to be up for three is testament to everybody’s hard work. We are very proud to be recognised in this shortlist.”

Award winners will be announced during a ceremony at the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Accrington in June.
