Lantern Festival parade off as event moves indoors

Tonight’s Lantern Festival in the West End of Morecambe has been hit by the weather.

The annual event will still go ahead but a planned parade of lanterns through the streets has been cancelled due to heavy rain and high winds.

Instead a programme of indoor activities will take place at More Music’s base The Hothouse on Devonshire Road as follows:

6pm-8pm Splodge-omatic

6pm Astral Circus and the Baybeat Band

6.30pm Stages Christmas Song

6.40pm Astral Circus and Pete Moser One Man Band

7pm Township Cafe Choir

7.15pm Joe McCorriston

7.30pm West End Choir

7.35pm LYVE

7.45pm Carol Singing with Bill Roberts

7.55pm Baybeat

Free mince pies and hot drinks too.
