Children also enjoyed petting farmyard animals in a mini farm in Dalton Square on Easter Monday and there was also a face painter.

The free event was organised by Lancaster BID.

A spokesman said: “It was a good weekend. Friday was really busy. Monday was OK but the weather didn’t help.

“There were hundreds of visitors over the two events and over 80 faces painted over the two days!”
