Lancaster restaurant sealed off after slab falls on roof
Emergency services were called to a Lancaster city centre restaurant after a slab fell off a nearby shop onto its roof.
A police spokesman said Bar 1725 on Market Street had been cordoned off after the large slab fell off the roof of the adjoining former Greggs baker’s shop.
Fire crews were called to reports of a ‘dangerous structure’ at 11.05am on Wednesday.
Police were also called out just after noon.
There were no reports of any injuries.
1725 and Vue Cinema still remains open whilst the alleyway between the two businesses is still cordoned off.
Repair work is set to take place.
