Lancaster Maritime Museum closes for repairs

The attraction, based at the Custom House, St George’s Quay, shut on Monday and will reopen on December 5.

Lancashire County Council museums manager Ian Watson, said: “We’re very sorry for any inconvenience due to the museum being closed.

“We need to carry out some work to keep the building in good repair. For this to be carried out safely, and to be completed as quickly as possible, we need to fully close the museum.”

The museum is expected to open again as normal on Saturday December 5.
