RESIDENTS in Lancaster could receive their post later in the day, with Royal Mail blaming a reduction in the amount being delivered.
Postal workers at Lancaster Delivery Office have begun using new delivery methods including the use of trolleys, with revised delivery routes, also in place as part of the changes.
The Royal Mail says post will continue to be delivered in the morning and for a longer period during the day, and that many customers will continue to get their mail by lunchtime.
The time customers receive mail will depend on where they live on the new delivery routes. This may be later or earlier than current delivery times.
