If you love a good laugh and have a keen eye for a bargain then The Lancaster Comedy Club is most definitely the place to be in July.

The whole month has been given over to some of the UK’s funniest men and women who are

putting the finishing touches to their brand new shows before taking them to the Edinburgh Fringe next month.

Each evening features two, full length shows for the price of one with advance booking strongly advised! If you’re a fan of Radio 4’s numerous comedy programmes then this Sunday sees Newsjack host and News Quiz regular Angela Barnes joined by long time favourite with the Lancaster crowd Martin Mor.

One of the biggest attractions will be Mock the Week regular and recent star of Live at the Apollo, Gary Delaney. His shows are known for an unrivalled volume of high-class gags but are most definitely not for people who get offended by jokes!

Gary will be previewing on Sunday July 15 and 22 alongside Dan Nightingale and Jo Caulfield respectively.

Dan Nightingale is resident compere and act at Manchester’s famous Frog and Bucket comedy club.

Jo Caulfield has regularly appeared on ‘Have I Got News for You’ and writes and stars in her own Radio 4 comedy show.

Sunday July 29 sees the month rounded off in style. with flawless character comedy from YouTube sensation Troy Hawke and star of BBC’s Upstart Crow, Rob Rouse.

As always, the comedy performances take place in the upstairs room at The Borough, Dalton Square, LA1 1PP.

Admission is £10 (if tickets left) or £8 in advance. Details at www.lancastercomedy.co.uk or call 01524 64170.
