Lancaster Canal comic book launches

The world's first canal comic book '“ inspired by Lancaster Canal '“ will be launched this Friday (October 13).

The 40-page book ‘The Lanky’ by Oliver East captures people and places along a canalside route from Kendal to Lancaster.

It will be launched at the Lakes International Comic Arts Festival in Kendal.

Sketching on the move, Oliver has walked the canal towpath between Kendal and Lancaster several times over recent months, collecting stories about local people and places.
