Lancaster and Morecambe takeaway involved in immigration charges

Four people from the Lancaster district have been charged with allowing people to work illegally at Nice and Spicy takeaway.

Zubeir Yakub Mister, 40, of Standen Park House, Lancaster, has also been charged with breaching immigration law by allowing six different people to stay at Whiteray Road in Lancaster on January 11 2013 when they had all overstayed their leave to remain in the UK.

Mister is facing 14 charges of breaching immigration law by allowing people to work illegally at Nice and Spicy in various locations including Lancaster and Morecambe.

He is also facing another charge of breaching immigration law by allowing a person to reside at Napier Street, Barrow in Furness, on March 17 2015 when he had overstayed leave to remain in the UK, and four fraud charges for possessing false UK national insurance cards.

Christopher Donaldson, 30, of Greenfinch Way, Heysham, has been charged with breaching immigration law by allowing six different people to stay at Whiteray Road in Lancaster on January 11 2013 when they had overstayed their leave to remain in the UK.

Donaldson is also facing 14 charges for breaching immigration law by allowing people to work illegally at Nice and Spicy in various locations including Lancaster and Morecambe.

He is facing another charge for breach of immigration law by allowing a person to reside at Napier Street, Barrow in Furness, on March 17 2015 when he had overstayed leave to remain in the UK.

Donaldson is also charged with one count of possessing a false French passport, one count of possessing a false Bangladeshi passport, one count of fraud for possessing a false UK national insurance card and a charge of arranging travel for a man intending to exploit him.

Paola Michelle Duncan, 48, of Carleton Street, Morecambe, has been charged with a breach of immigration law for allowing a man to be employed at Nice and Spicy in Kendal.

Ian Dewhirst, 31, of Whitmoor Close, Morecambe, has been charged with breaching immigration law by allowing a person to work at Nice and Spicy in Penwortham, Preston when he had overstayed leave to remain in the UK, and has also been charged with arranging travel for an individual intending to exploit him.

The defendants were bailed and are due to appear again at Lancaster Magistrates Court on Tuesday, July 5.
