Kitchen fire call-out in Lancaster

Fire crews were called to a kitchen fire at student accommodation in Lancaster.

Firefighters from Lancaster and Morecambe went to the incident on County Avenue at 5.12pm on March 2.

Electrical wiring in a cooker socket had overheated and caught fire.

A smoke alarm had activated, alerting the occupants and no-one was injured.

The fire crews isolated the electrical supply and the fire was extinguished.
