Join in Big Garden Birdwatch at Williamson Park

A week of information to help people join in with the National Big Garden Birdwatch is being held by the Friends of Williamson Park.

The week starts with a talk by bird enthusiast, Jeff Butcher, on Sunday January 24 at 2.30pm on garden birds. There will be a display on birds in the Pavilion Café during the week, and on Sunday January 31 a chance to join in with the bird count in the Park between 9 and 10.30am.

or children, the Zookeepers are running a drop in of birdy arts, crafts and making feeders from 11-3pm.

“Williamson Park is used by lots of different birds, especially helped by the feeding station and over 100 bird boxes which have been installed by the Friends group”, said Hilary Smith of Friends of Williamson.

“We would like to know more about the birds so that we can make the Park better for them”
