Islamist preacher to visit Lancaster University

Abdullah al Andalusi will speak to members of Lancaster University Islamic Society on Tuesday February 23 at 6.30pm.

The “international Muslim speaker, thinker and debater” will discuss the topic ‘Can Shariah Solve Today’s Problems?’.

His work involves explaining and demonstrating the intellectual proofs for the Islamic belief system, and promoting the Islamic way of life and Islamic solutions for contemporary problems.

He has delivered talks internationally on the question of the purpose of life, the existence of God, the Miracle of Quran, the superiority of the Shariah as a social and political system, and Islamic Economics.

He is of Portuguese and French/Colonial north african descent, and was formerly a Christian until he embraced Islam at 14.

A spokeswoman for Lancaster University said that in planning for the event it had been through due diligence, including sharing information with other universities and the police.
