SHERLOCK Holmes’ most famous adventure will have a different dimension this April thanks to a Lancaster performance company.
The Hound of the Baskervilles, which runs at the Dukes from April 17 to 21.
The Lancaster-based company has collaborated with Oldham Coliseum and fused different theatrical elements to create the dark and sinister world of The Hound of the Baskervilles.
This production of the Conan Doyle classic is part of the Dukes’ first Intermission Season, which features events mixing live performance and film on stage.
A spokesman for the Dukes said: “The Dukes dual use as a home producing theatre and independent cinema is unique in the North West.
“Digital images, stark lighting and enveloping sound will create a cinematic portrayal of the terrors and loneliness of Dartmoor, and the claus trophobic tension of the gothic hall.”
