Families in Heysham are being invited to party with a fund-raising youngster who is throwing open the community doors for a day of fun.
Children can test themselves on an assault course, boogie away with a disco, belt out their karaoke favourites or even try to beat a Morecambe FC player in beat the goalie.
It’s all on the bill at Niamh Barnsley-Ryan’s family fun day on Sunday May 8.
The Heysham St Peter’s CofE Primary School pupil, who is attempting an 874-mile triathlon in a year to raise cash for the soon to be redeveloped Bay Cottage Play Park and children’s charity Make A Wish Foundation, is hosting the event as she celebrates her 10th birthday.
Teams will also battle it out against each other cycling and rowing as many miles as they can in six hours, with the winner being crowned champion.
Vicky Birchall, of Heysham Mossgate Centre, who is helping organise the event, said: “Niamh is a true inspiration to all ages and a very lucky girl having an amazing family to help and support her all the way.”
The charity fun day takes place from 10am-4pm at Heysham Mossgate Sports and Community Facility. Entry is free.
The talent show takes place between 2pm and 3pm and there will be a medal for the winner.
