Heysham to M6 link road work to end for Christmas

Work on the Heysham to M6 link road will restart on Monday, January 4 after the Christmas and New Year break.

The project by road builders Costain will shut down from Wednesday, December 23 and there are no planned works to be carried out until January 4.

Barley Cop Lane under the railway bridge near The Crematorium will then close for extensive works on the drainage system to help prevent further flooding.

There will also be two planned weekend closures of the M6 Junction 34 southbound exit on January 9 and 10 and on January 16 and 17.
