Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust honoured at awards
The Trust received the ‘Improving the value of NHS support services’ award for its commitment to patient safety.
The organisation showed it’s dedicated to becoming a learning organisation and was commended for creating a team of specialised serious incident investigators to learn why an incident occurred in order to prevent it happening again, or to minimise the likelihood of a recurrence.

Hide AdThe team have also been working closely with service users and family members who had been involved in a serious incident to recruit investigators and develop storyboards to be used in staff training to improve the Trust’s response to people affected by an incident.
