Health secretary visits Lancaster hospital

The Secretary of State for Health has visited the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

Jeremy Hunt met with members of the board to hear future plans and also to speak to staff and thank them for their hard work. Mr Hunt tweeted after Thursday’s visit: “Great to meet staff at Royal Lancaster and see how a learning culture is helping to transform their quality of care.”

The health secretary was accompanied by David Morris, MP for Morecambe. He said it was “a huge morale boost” for staff to be visited by the cabinet member.
