Halton volunteers help clear weeds
Residents in Halton cleared weeds which were growing in the roadside near St Wilfrid's Church.
The retaining wall of the church and the lane leading up to the motorway bridge had almost disappeared behind buddleia, hawthorn and holly seedlings plus numerous other smaller weeds.
Coun Brian Jefferson, Halton with Aughton ward, said: “Thank you to the residents who came to support this volunteer activity arranged by chair of our Parish Council, Coun Carol Slinger.”
