Costain and Lancaster St John’s Hospice are organising a Wicked Welly Walk following the success of the last Welly Walk in April this year.

The walk will give people the opportunity to experience the new three-mile road, whilst raising money for the hospice and Costain’s own charitable foundation.

In the spirit of Halloween fancy dress is a must for the walk which takes place on November 1. It will start at 11am from Lancaster and Morecambe College, where registration and parking opens from 10.30am.

Andrew Langley, Costain Project Director, said: “Following the huge success of the first Welly Walk, and on the back of the tremendous progress made by the team, I felt the opportunity to open the doors to the public once more was too good to ignore.”

Wicked Welly Walkers will be able to see the progress made since the last walk in April, including the development of bridges and structures, and stretches of carriageway.

The walk will end at Costain’s Lune North site.
