Staff were happy to receive a helping hand from Dallas Road Community Primary School pupils who paid a visit to the Judges’ Lodgings museum to make sure all is spick and span for the grand reopening.

Leader of Lancashire County Council, Geoff Driver, will do the honours on Friday at 11am when he will officially declare the Church Street venue up and running once more.

The museum closed due to county budget cuts in 2016 but is now set to re-open following a hard-fought campaign by the Friends of the Judges’ Lodgings.

The attraction will open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until November 3, 11am-4pm.

Admission is adults £3, concessions £2 and children go free. Further information on 01524 581241 or at www.lancashire.gov.uk
