A LANCASTER gallery will be celebrating the Great British outdoors at its new exhibition.
Garden Party, at Arteria with Gallery 23 is a exploratiob of the British garden and countryside, and the UK’s native wildlife through all types of artistic media - jewellery designers, textile makers, painters, photographers, glass artists and gift crafters have all contributed.
Jane Richardson, owner and managing director of Gallery 23 said: “We have been fortunate to have worked with a group of extremely talented artists, all briefed on the theme of our latest gallery event.
“Also included in the showcase is an innovative collection of ceramics made specifically for the exhibition by the Northern Potters Association (NPA).
“We worked with the NPA on our tea party exhibition last year to great success.
“Again a brief was set, this time to produce a collection of inventive pieces based on the garden party theme.
“We are very enthusiastic about the work contributed by all those taking part and feel it will definitely get everyone in the mood for lighter evenings and hopefully better weather.”
The collections can be viewed at the Brock Street gallery until July 14.
