The Lancaster Food and Drink Festival is back this year with 70 small businesses setting up stall for three days.
The free event, which takes place over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend at Lancaster Leisure Park, between 3pm and 9pm each day, will feature artisan food stalls, street food vendors, respected food retailers, producers, growers and top quality drinks merchants.
There will be demonstrations, tastings, craft stalls and live music throughout the event.
Displays of meats including fish, game and beef will sit alongside baked goods such as bread, biscuits and cakes as well as many spices and oils. there will also be a selection of locally brewed beers, ciders, fruit juices, natural cordials and locally ground coffees.
Greenlands Farm Village are providing a children’s petting area as well as donkey rides and a face painter.
Allan Blackburn, owner and manager of Lancaster Leisure Park said: “Last year we couldn’t believe how busy the weekend was. We had 12,000 visitors and at points it was almost too busy. We feel that by spreading the event out over three days, it gives people time to come and go and enjoy the show at their leisure. Parking will be easier and the event should be more enjoyable for visitors and traders alike”.
