Flood warnings for Lancashire

The Environment Agency has issued flood warnings for several areas across Lancashire, following prolonged heavy rainfall.

Highest level flood warnings - where flooding is expected - have been issued for the River Ribble at Walton-le-Dale and Samlesbury.

Flooding alerts - where flooding is a possibility - have been issued for the Upper River Ribble, Hodder, and Lower Lune, Conder.

Firefighters from Penwortham have been called to flooding this evening in Flag Lane, Penwortham, but have been unable to pump the water away due to the possibility of affecting houses in surrounding areas.

High tide is expected at 10pm.
