Firefighters rush to carbon monoxide leak at Westover Street home in Morecambe

Two fire engines from Lancaster and Morecambe attended an incident on Westover Street yesterday evening around 9pm.

The incident involved a carbon monoxide leak in a terraced property.

Firefighters used gas monitor and trauma pack.

Crews were detained for one hour and forty-five minutes.

It is unknown if any homeowners were evacuated from nearby properties or what caused the leak.

Lancashire Fire Service have been approached for further comment on the matter.
