Booths has close links with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and employs a number of retained firefighters in its stores, one of whom is Simon Watton from Booths Carnforth.

75 per cent of fire stations in Lancashire are crewed wholly or to some extent by retained firefighters – those who typically have full-time employment in another profession but who provide emergency cover as firefighters, responding from their place of work to a 999 call alert.

Steve Allen, store manager at Booths in Carnforth, said; “We look forward to welcoming Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service to the store on Saturday and hope many families turn out to enjoy the events and tasty treats on offer.”
