Fashion show for neuro centre remembers ‘amazing’ Jeanette

The Wyrebank in Garstang is to host a ladies’ charity shopping and pamper evening from 7pm on November 30, in aid of the Neuro drop-in centre in Lancaster.

The event, raising funds for the centre for people with neurological diseases, includes a fashion show and a chance to snap up Christmas gifts.

Rachel Parker has organised the event after the death of best friend Jeanette Armes two years ago, with a willingness to follow in Jeanette’s charitable footsteps.

Jeanette died in her early 30s and worked as a carer for many years, and was well-known in the area, with Rachel describing her friend as “an amazing person.”

Rachel added: “I just wish that Jeanette could have had more use of the centre as she had MS and this centre is a lifeline for a lot of people.

“I would like to also raise awareness of the centre as local people could use it which would improve lives.”
