Britain’s biggest family has been left devastated after losing their 17th baby which was due next April.
Sue and Noel Radford, from Morecambe, have received over 1,000 messages of condolence after announcing the news on Facebook.
The post said: “It’s with such sadness that we have to say our beautiful baby’s heartbeat stopped two days ago we are utterly devastated beyond words.”
Only hours before they had announced that they were expecting a new arrival with baby no 17 on the way.
However, after a routine scan on Monday, yesterday, it was discovered the baby’s heartbeat had stopped.
Sue said: “Within two seconds I could see there was no heartbeat. My heart sank, I knew it was gone. Sadly it’s just one of those things.
“We have 16 healthy children but this time it wasn’t meant to be. We are devastated.”
