Preston campaigners urge Lancashire County Council to 'declare a climate emergency' during protest march

There were colourful and noisy scenes in Preston city centre today as young people joined a protest and march raising awareness of climate change.

Around 50 youngsters, along with more than 50 adults, marched from the train station to the flag market, and then on to County Hall in a bid to ask Lancashire County Council to declare a ‘climate emergency’, as councils in other areas have done.

A similar march took place last month
